Our Story
ChezAlina Restaurant was established in 2009 by Mr Chez and Mrs Alina Nkosi. They were motivated by the fact that the Fifa world cup was going to be held in South Africa the following year. Mrs had a background of neing a Chef for 15years at that time, and she always had desire to one day own a restuarant around Soweto. Her husband Mr Nkosi, is the one who advised her to start operating from their house in order to give their clients a homely dining experience right in the heart of Soweto. They knew that tourists would want to visit Soweto, especially because two late Noble Peace Prize winners, namely, Nelson Mandela and archbishop Desmond Tutu used to stay in Orlando West. The Nkosi saw an opportunity to offer an African culinary dining venue where tourists can enjoy local culture through African dishes.
